Devon’s 1st birthday party
It was a birthday party for Devon who turned one, but definitely not a party for him to enjoy. The lil guests got more fun from it! Twenty over children from 3 year olds to 14 year olds had a blast from a variety of activities. We had sand art with a rainbow selection of coloured sands, a colouring contest for the young ones, a mesmerizing magic show starring budding teen magicians – Jonathan and Joshua and then finally wrapping up the party with a wacky replica of the Amazing Race.
Teams ran their hearts out from one Detour to another, they had to put their minds to test at Roadblocks and one team managed to get the Fast Forward speeding to the pit stop, making them the winners of the amazing race!
Feast your eyes on the exciting party…

Flower Power Birthday!
The Splattered Paint’s team celebrated Gabby’s 5th birthday at her apartment! The theme was ‘Flower Power’ and we decorated the small hall with flower balloons, played some party games and not to mention, spent an awesome time working on a flower pot craft! Enjoy the photos ensuing!
Birthday Party – 9 year old!
The Splattered Paint team celebrated another birthday! This time it was a 9 year old birthday party! Though last minute, we decorated the small hall and provided some kids’ entertainment through clowning, magic tricks and party games! The children totally enjoyed their time!
One Year Old Birthday Party
The Splattered Paint team transformed an empty hall to one that is ’starry’ – for a one year old birthday girl’s party! The theme for this party is “Twinkle Twinkle Glitter Stars”. This is an example of what you can do if you have a low budget…but a very huge place. See the photos for some examples!
Full Moon Party
The Splattered Paint team were honoured to be part of baby Shaun Jesper’s full moon party. Despite the last minute call, we did some decorations for the hall and also entertained the children with some crafts after their meals. They were absolutely delighted! Check out the pictures below.
Birthday Party Tips!
We’ve planned a lot of events over the last few years. Big scale, medium scale and small groups. The most challenging to plan are children’s events. Not only do we have to satisfy the adults (who eventually pays the bill), our guest the tiny tots has to leave the place thrilled too!
Let’s talk about annual events, birthdays for instance. A child would at least have one birthday party in their childhood. Don’t fret at the thought of it. If you’re thinking of planning one, here are some tips to help you.
- Tip #1: Try to plan your party 3-4 weeks in advance. You don’t it to be a frenzy.
- Tip #2: Choose a theme. Easiest your child’s opinion on this. Getting a theme will help you organize your thoughts on what to buy, what games to play, what party packs to get.
- Tip #3: Decide on the party time. Best times for parties are between 2.00 – 4.00pm. That way you won’t need to serve a meal but finger foods instead.
- Tip #4: Sit down with your child and plan the guests list. Make invitations together and get your child to write the names on the invites.
- Tip #5: Food! What’s a party without food?! Don’t stress yourself over a banquet, plan wise and simple. Keep the menu wholesome but fun. Add colour by adding different types of veggies in sandwiches or sprinkling multi coloured M&M’s on ice cream.
- Tip #4: Focus on the activities instead of the details! Children LOVE games and interactive activities. They’d leave the place remembering what they did rather than what beautiful deco they saw. Decorate the place but don’t sweat the little details!
- Tip #5: Party favours! The trick is that every child goes home with a gift. It doesn’t matter if it comes from the dollar shop or Toys ‘r’ Us. Throw in a variety of gifts into a party pack, they’d be happy to dig their noses into it.
- Tip #6: Important but very often overlooked. Assign a photographer for the party. You’d be so busy having fun, the only time you remember there are no tangible memories of the special day is when it’s all over.
